Katrine Suwalski is a musician and a composer of considerable scope and imagination. She has created her own distinctive fusion of Jazz and West African Influences. It’s exuberant music, played by some of the best musicians from the Danish Jazz and Worldmusic scenes. Her group, Another World Quartet, has toured in and

out side Denmark. Her music is now being discovered and recognised in Ghana where she has been touring with great success during 2015 and 16. The reception from the Ghanaian public is quite incredible.


From June 22 to July 20- 2017, she is inviting Ameton (GH) - three Ghanaian artistes, to Denmark for a collaboration with her band - Another World (DK).

Ameton musicians:

Dela Botri, is an internationally acclaimed musician who plays the the Atenteben, a Ghanaian traditional  flute made out of bamboo. Leader of nine piece Ghanaian band: Hewale Sounds. Lead singer and percussionist as well. He waxes into the contemporary while keeping a link to his roots and has been compared to African artists such as Habib Koite, Salif Keita and Youssour Ndour.  Dela is Deputy Director of Traditional Music at the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).


Tina Elivava Mensah, who lives in Ghana’s capital-Accra, has

established herself as one of West Africa’s leading songstress within jazz and Afrobeat genres. She’s inspired by Miriam Makeba and -Billie Holiday. Elivava has toured in West Africa including Togo, Cote d’Ivoire and Benin as well as Germany.


Odomankoma Kyerema Pra from Cape Coast, is a Master drummer who’s deeply rooted in the Ghanaian drumming tradition. He leads Twerammpon Traditionals based in Cape Coast. The group performs at local festivals, weddings and funeral ceremonies with traditional music and dance. They have toured in Denmark, USA, Germany, Belgium of Cote d’Ivoire.
